Our school provides opportunities for students, staff and parents to know and celebrate their Catholic faith. This is done through the religious life of our school. Members of our community experience a rich liturgical and prayer life, celebration of the Sacraments, faith formation, social outreach activities, and opportunities to share faith with each other and with youth from other schools in the Archdiocese.

The Religious Education syllabus at St Charles Catholic Primary School Ryde is integral to student learning and closely connected to St Charles Borromeo Parish, with students attending grade Masses every fortnight. The syllabus covers Liturgical seasons, the Church, prayer, mission and justice, and relationships with self, others, and the world. Students engage with key scripture stories and practice both formal and informal prayers.

St Charles encourages family involvement in their children’s faith development, supporting parents through prayer, information sessions, resources, and celebrations of liturgical events. This approach allows the whole family to nurture their faith together, fostering a strong community spirit.

Staff at St Charles are dedicated to building authentic relationships within the community, reflecting the teachings of Jesus Christ and strengthening their connection to the Ryde-Gladesville Parish. The school embraces Verbum Dei missionary values and involves students in parish-based Sacramental programs, while various fundraising initiatives connect them to vulnerable community members, reinforcing their Mercy values through practical actions.
